Everything you need to know about licensing, Content ID, and downloads.
Basic (Free) — MP3 download. Non-commercial use. Up to 10,000 streams across all platforms. One music video. Credit required: "Produced by beatsunlmtd." Good for demos and early releases.
Unlimited ($9) — MP3 + WAV. Unlimited streams, downloads, and monetized plays across every platform. Public performances. Radio. Sync up to one video. Full commercial rights. This is the license most artists use.
Exclusive ($99 / $199 rare) — MP3 + WAV. Full exclusive rights. The beat gets removed from the store permanently. No one else can license it after you. Content ID registration allowed. Perpetual term.
Yes. The Unlimited license covers commercial releases on Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, SoundCloud, TikTok, and every other platform. Unlimited streams. Unlimited downloads. No cap.
Most artists need around 30 releases before anything starts moving. That math doesn't work at $50–$200 per beat.
The $9 price isn't a discount. It's the model. It existed before AI was part of the conversation. The goal is to remove the financial barrier between you and your next release.
No. You own a license to use the beat in a new song. You own your vocals, your lyrics, and your creative additions. The underlying composition and sound recording remain with beatsunlmtd.
With an Exclusive license, you get exclusive usage rights — no one else can license the beat after you. But copyright ownership stays with the producer. This is standard across the industry.
50/50. You register your 50% with your PRO (ASCAP, BMI, SESAC). You also register beatsunlmtd as the writer/publisher of the other 50%.
This applies to all license tiers. Non-negotiable, and consistent with industry standard.
All licenses are perpetual. Your rights don't expire.
No. All licenses are non-transferable. The license is between you and beatsunlmtd.
You'll need to upgrade to Unlimited within 30 days. The upgrade is $9. Your release stays live — just purchase the Unlimited license for that beat and you're covered.
Short answer: it shouldn't.
beatsunlmtd does not register any beats with Content ID systems. That means no automated claims coming from the producer side. Your release should go up clean.
If you're on a non-exclusive license (Basic or Unlimited), other artists may also have licensed the same beat. None of them should be registering it with Content ID either — that's prohibited in every license agreement.
Content ID is YouTube's copyright detection system. Spotify and other platforms have similar tools. When audio is registered with these systems, any matching upload gets flagged — sometimes blocked, sometimes monetized by the claimant.
The problem with non-exclusive beats: multiple artists license the same instrumental. If any one of them registers it with Content ID, every other artist using that beat gets hit with a false claim.
That's why beatsunlmtd prohibits Content ID registration on all non-exclusive licenses. It protects every artist in the catalog.
Basic or Unlimited license: No. Content ID registration is prohibited. This is in your license agreement. Your distributor (DistroKid, TuneCore, CDBaby) may auto-enroll your music — make sure to opt out of Content ID when distributing.
Exclusive license: Yes. Content ID registration is allowed and encouraged. You're the sole licensee. No one else will license that beat after you, so there's no conflict.
Contact your distributor and opt out of Content ID for that release. Most distributors let you toggle this during upload or in your dashboard after the fact.
If you're on DistroKid, uncheck "YouTube Money" during upload. On TuneCore, disable "YouTube Sound Recording Revenue" in your release settings. CDBaby has a similar toggle.
If you have a valid license and someone else filed a claim, dispute it. Include your order confirmation, beat title, license type, and order number. Keep your order confirmation email — it's your proof of license.
Only against unauthorized use — someone using a beat without any license. If you purchased a license and are using the beat within its terms, you will never receive a claim or takedown from beatsunlmtd.
Nothing changes for you. Your non-exclusive license stays in full effect under its original terms. The exclusive buyer is informed that prior licensees exist and that their rights are protected. They cannot file claims against you.
This is written into both the exclusive and non-exclusive contracts.
No. The pricing is intentional.
Most beat stores charge $50–$200 per license because they're optimizing for per-transaction revenue. beatsunlmtd is optimized for volume — helping artists release consistently without going broke.
The catalog is real. The licenses are real. The contracts are enforceable. Delaware LLC. Every license is a clickwrap agreement tied to your purchase.
beatsunlmtd uses modern production tools and infrastructure. The $9 model has been in place since 2019.
What matters: the beats are original compositions. They're not sampled from copyrighted material. Your license is legally sound regardless of production method.
Every purchase generates a license agreement tied to your order. The license is a clickwrap contract — you accept the terms at checkout, and they're enforceable.
Your order confirmation, payment receipt, and the license terms on your account page are your proof. Keep them.
Delaware, USA. All contracts are governed by Delaware law.
For non-exclusive licenses: the producer has a buyback option within 3 years, but must pay you 200% of the original license fee. If exercised, you'd have time to remove your release. This is rare and industry-standard.
For exclusive licenses: perpetual. No revocation.
In either case, you'll never lose your license for no reason. Revocation only applies in cases of breach (using the beat outside license terms) or the buyback clause described above.
After purchase, your beats are available in your account under My Account > Downloads. You can re-download at any time.
For free (Basic) downloads: enter your email on the download button. The beat and your license are tied to that email.
Check your spam folder first. If it's not there, log into your account at beatsunlmtd.com/my-account/downloads. All purchased beats are available for re-download.
If you still can't access your files, email [email protected] with your order number.
Currently, all licenses include MP3 and WAV files (Unlimited and above). Stems are not available at this time. If stems become available for exclusive purchases, the license terms will be updated accordingly.
